Description
Tadalafil Tablet is a oral drug prescribed to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Tadalafil is a phosphodiesterase (PDE) type 5 inhibitor. Tadalafil works by improving blood flow to the penis, allowing men with ED to get and maintain an erection for sexual activity. Tadalafil tablets are available in two strengths: 5 mg and 6 mg. Tadalafil is taken orally by mouth, usually before sexual activity. Tadalafil should only be used once per day and no more than one tablet should be taken per day. Tadalafil may also be used off-label to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
Tadalafil Tablet is generally well tolerated with few side effects. Common side effects may include headache, back pain, runny or stuffy nose, muscle aches or pain, indigestion, or flushing of the face. More serious side effects include vision changes such as blurred vision or sensitivity to light; decreased hearing; chest pain or irregular heartbeat; swelling of hands, feet or other parts of the body; difficulty breathing; painful or prolonged erection lasting more than four hours; sudden decrease or loss of hearing; and fainting.
If you experience any of these symptoms while taking Tadalafil Tablet it is important that you contact your doctor immediately. Tadalafil should not be taken with certain medications such as nitrates, alpha blockers or antifungals as this could cause an unsafe drop in blood pressure, leading to serious health problems. It is also important that you check with your doctor before starting any new medications while taking Tadalafil Tablet as some medications may interact with Tadalafil and cause unwanted side effects.
Tadalafil has been proven effective for treating ED in men for up to 36 hours after taking it. This means that if you take Tadalafil tablets you will have increased sexual confidence knowing that your erection will last throughout sexual intercourse. Tadalafil has been shown to improve urinary symptoms associated with BPH when compared with placebo over 12 weeks of treatment.
It is important to remember that Tadalafil will only work if there is sexual stimulation present – it does not cause an erection on its own but helps the body achieve an erection when sexually stimulated naturally by increasing blood flow to the penis allowing men to achieve and maintain an erection for longer periods of time during intercourse.
